Play in a Day - Summer 2026

Call up for all enthusiastic performers!

Come and spend an action-packed day working with The Octagon Theatre to make an original mini play that you will create, stage and perform in just one day. Participants will work together as a theatre company to stage the play, learning performance techniques as they go, to perform to family and friends at the end of the day.

Working with a musical director, choreographer and director participants will learn songs and routines all pieced together with a short script.

Our successful format works with the young people incorporating their ideas and experiences into the piece, therefore giving them the opportunity to explore their own creative ideas.

No prior experience is needed - just lots of enthusiasm. The workshop leaders will create a relaxed and supportive environment to have fun and build confidence.
