We are a close team who are passionate about theatre, the arts and Somerset. The team works across both our venues, The Octagon Theatre & Westlands Entertainment Venue in Yeovil. 

Role: Chef
Salary: Commensurate on Experience plus Local Government Pension Scheme
Hours: 37 hours per week (permanent)

Westlands Entertainment Venue is seeking a passionate and talented Chef to assist the catering operation at our busy venue. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering large scale catering events. From delivering multi-course banquets for up to 300 people, buffet lunches for events or serving our patrons in our busy lounge bar our catering offer is diverse and challenging. Excellent knowledge of food hygiene is essential in addition to leading, motivating and managing the team to deliver exceptional food and service.

Role: Casual Cook
Salary: £11.59 per hour (+ 12% holiday pay)
Hours: Casual – As required, various shifts available

We are seeking friendly and passionate individuals to assist with the preparation of food in our busy kitchens. You will be a team player, able to work under pressure, committed to producing great food and have an interest in producing a diverse range of quality dishes, from fast food to restaurant food and three course banquets. Ideally, you will have previous experience in a busy kitchen environment, but this is not essential as full training can be provided to individuals with drive and enthusiasm.  Various shifts are available, most evenings the shifts finish by 8.30pm unless we have a banquet/party night.  No split shifts.

Salary: £11.62 per hour (+12.1% holiday pay)
Hours: Casual - As required, various shifts available

If you are friendly, enthusiastic and able to provide exceptional customer services in our bars and restaurants then this role will suit you. Previous experience in the hospitality industry is desirable, but not as important as a friendly and approachable outlook with a passion to learn new skills.
