Celebrating the Yeovil Literary Festival, we are hosting inclusive pottery workshops for those looking to learn new skills and get creative. Young storytellers will be making their own autobiographies out of clay to take home led by our creative clay expert and inclusivity champion, Deborah Clarke.
The aim of the session is to explore clay techniques, build new friendships and strengthen relationships in a fun, inclusive and joyful environment. These workshops are ideal for anyone who is new to working with clay but would like to explore new ideas and get creative.
The workshops will be fully inclusive and accessible with an emphasis on self-expression and creativity and participants will make thier own front cover of a book. Parents/carers are very welcome (and encouraged) to support their child in their creation! After the workshop, creations will be taken away to be fired in a kiln and returned ready for collection from Westlands Entertainment Venue 2 - 3 weeks later.
