South Somerset Singing Festival 2026

Somerset Music, on behalf of the Octagon Music Hub, is delighted to announce the return of the South Somerset Singing Festival!

Singing is at the heart of the National Plan for Music Education, which recognises it as the golden thread connecting and enriching every child’s musical journey. Singing supports confidence, wellbeing, self-expression, and a sense of belonging—and when children sing together, something truly special happens.

The South Somerset Singing Festival is a joyful celebration of the incredible singing taking place in schools across our region. It offers pupils the unforgettable experience of performing together with other schools, building musical skills, community spirit, and a shared love of music in a professional venue.

This is a chance for schools to: - Showcase the wonderful singing happening in classrooms - Bring pupils together for a powerful shared performance - Inspire young singers through collaboration and live music-making - Celebrate achievement, confidence, and the joy of singing Join us as we bring voices from across South Somerset together to create something vibrant, uplifting, and unforgettable.

A £1.50 ticket levy is included in all stated ticket prices.
