Gordon Cooper and Jack Glanville are returning to Yeovil this Christmas for Cinderella!

Gordon Cooper is annouced as returning as one of Cinderella's Ugly Sisters

Gordon is a seasoned Panto performer and has appeared in Pantomime at theatres across the UK, including Exeter Northcott, Stafford Gatehouse, Buxton Opera house, and, most notably, The Kings Theatre in Glasgow where he spent two Christmas seasons, the first as an Ugly Sister in Cinderella and then as Widow Twankey in Aladdin. Gordon was very proud to be on that particular stage in a frock, following in the footsteps of Panto legends Rikki Fulton and Stanley Baxter.

Other credits include: Romeo & Juliet (Guildford Shakespeare Co.); Stick Man (Leicester Square Theatre/Sydney Opera House); My Daughters Trial (Kahli Theatre Co.); I Dreamed a Dream (The Susan Boyle Musical) (National Tour); Comedy of Errors and As You Like It (Exeter Northcott); Romeo and Juliet and Much Ado about Nothing (Creation Theatre Company Oxford); Up on The Roof (Chichester Festival Theatre); Toad of Toad Hall (Eye Theatre Suffolk); Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (National Tour); Carnaby St The Musical (Arts Theatre London); Comedy of Errors and Peter Pan (Nuffield Theatre Southampton)

TV Credits include: Citizen Khan (BBC); Ghost Squad (Channel 4); League of Gentlemen (BBC); and All Along the Watchtower (BBC Scotland).

Gordon is an experienced voice-over artist, particularly in the world of computer games. He has provided character voices for everything from a zombie, vampire, pirate and a demonic dragon to a crime solving squirrel, an angry wasp soldier and more shouty dwarves than he cares to mention.

He also hosts the theatre podcast Taking Turns to Talk (available to download from Spotify, Audible and wherever you get your podcasts).

Jack Glanville is returning this year as the lovable Buttons

Jack is delighted to be returning to the Octagon for his 9th consecutive year. He can’t wait to get the amazing audiences in Yeovil laughing and cheering.

After becoming a professional standup at 18, Jack has performed all over the world and toured the UK every year. Jack has performed for cruise companies like P&O and Marella, and holiday venues like Haven and Parkdean Resorts. He also supported some of the nations favourite comedians and sporting heroes like Jethro & Sir Geoff Hurst; two of his personal highlights.

Jack competed in the BBC New Comedy Awards reaching the semi finals in 2001; only to be pipped to the final by Russel Howard! Jack has featured on ITV and Sky with guest appearances on Football Roundup and Live at the Club.

One of Jack’s proudest moments was winning a National Male Entertainer Award. This honour earned Jack a special guest invitation to meet the then Prince, HRH King Charles at Highgrove House.

Jack’s shows have taken him to many great theatres working alongside stars including Gareth Gates for our very own Evolution Productions at Fairfield Halls, Croydon. Jack headlined at the Blackpool Opera House, The BIC in Bournemouth, the Swansea Grand and many more, including the Hall For Cornwall within his home County raising funds for Children’s Hospice Southwest with Dad’s Army star Bill Pertwee.

Jack and his family wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year!!
