School Of Rock: Castaway Theatre Group

Based on the Paramount movie (of the same name) by Mike White, School of Rock is a modern rock musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Glenn Slater and the book by Julian Fellowes.

The story follows failed rock musician Dewey Finn, as he poses as a substitute teacher at a posh school.  Soon getting bored of teaching he transforms his classroom into a fun filled rock loving environment by creating his very own rock band!  But, can he get his pupils to the Battle of the Bands without their parents and the school’s headmistress finding out?

Castaway Theatre Group feel very privileged to be bringing you this high energy production at The Octagon, successfully following on from their last production of The Wind in the Willows.
